There’s something special about a community that looks after its own — and Bordertown is doing exactly that.

The Bordertown Health and Community Foundation is proud to announce an exciting partnership with the Bordertown Rotary Club to raise funds for a brand-new X-ray machine for our local hospital which will have a cost of approximately $150,000. It’s a project born from a shared belief: that quality healthcare shouldn’t require a long drive down the highway.

Why This Matters

Our hospital’s current (secondhand) X-ray machine has served our community, but it’s nearing the end of its working life. We do not wish to see this service lost from our community — because losing this service, even temporarily, would mean our community members needing to travel to access medical imaging. For families, older residents, and anyone dealing with an injury or illness, that distance is more than an inconvenience. It’s a real barrier to timely care.

A new X-ray machine means our doctors and nurses can continue to diagnose fractures, chest conditions, and so much more — right here in Bordertown, close to home and the people who care about you.

Two Organisations, One Goal

The Bordertown Health and Community Foundation and the Bordertown Rotary Club may approach community service in different ways, but we’re united by the same purpose: building a healthier, stronger Bordertown. This partnership brings together our combined networks, energy, and passion for local wellbeing, and we couldn’t be more excited about what we can achieve together.
